Many religions believe that the world is going to end soon, and we are living our last days because of all the crime, hate, and everyone being open about their sexuality, what are your opinions on this? (link)

Crime (i.e. violence etc.) probably peaked during WW II, so chances are we're safe from that. Same with hate, though it might have peaked during the cold war instead. I don't know about sexuality, but the birth rate is finally looking to fall again.
I'd have to say we're safe from those. Now, the Mayans predicted that the world will end in 2012, and to the best of my severaly limited knoweledge they've never revised that date which lends them more credibility than other religions and/or prophets. Ask me again in 2013, eh?
