I guess I shall mention that I tend to fall into extremely depressive spells and just as easily fall out of them. I've lost most joy in life and have found that the only lasting joy is helping others. So thus you have it.

I’m 14/f and no one have ever asked me out on a date. I am not ugly in fact I recently learned that the boys from my old school which I left 1 ½ years ago thought I was the prettiest girl in the class. I am extremely shy and I really can’t flirt. Also usually even if I like someone I am very cold to them for a long time, it’s like a protective action. But now I just feel so lonely! (link)

Honey, this is a usual occurence in lives of teenage girls. Being only 14, you have plenty of time to date. For the lonliness problem I suggest that you make some friends first. Friends are good confidence boosters. Not just female friends, of course. Make friends with just some guys that you think you could get along with. They don't have to be anyone that you have a crush on. Once you've gotten a bit more comfortable around guys you might come out of your shell. When I was in 6th grade I would have these very very small "Hi how are you I'm fine see ya" conversations with guys and that was that. Then, I made friends with guys in orchestra class and slowly felt more confident in talking to guys. Everything will set its course in due time.
