advice

i have two best friends. one i've known since middle school...so that's about 4 yrs now. and now i also have a new best friend...whom i met in high shcool. they're both wonderful and i'm so glad i have them but there's one problem. they can't stand each other for anything! when i'm with one, she's talking shit about the other. and when i'm with the other one, she's talking shit about her. they both want me to take their own sides and be more loyal to one then the other. ahhhh! what do i do!?!??! HELP!

I think you should talk to them about it. They're both your best friends, they should be understanding that you're in a difficult position. You can try telling both that the subject of the other is off limits while they're with you, unless they want to say something nice. If they really are your best friends, they should be willing to do that for you.
