Hey ok the new school year starts this monday and im scared bout making new friends cuz last year i told people i was christian (im not afraid 2 share my faith) so they all thought i was weird and stuff...and i dont cuss so instead of saying a bad word id say like crap or freak or whatever and they'd make fun of me..i still want ppl to know im christian this year but im scared i wont have friends! i know what i did wrong last year id tell people that Jesus loves them jokingly and they got scared so yea not gonna do that but even if i tell them that im a christian they might reject me..so what do i do?
DO NOT BE SCARED TO SHOW YOUR FAITH!!! :-D Be proud in your faith in the Lord!!! God wants you to be intimidated by those who do not follow him, it encourages you to keep pushing forward...and spreading the Lords word. I am currently reading a book called 'Jesus Freaks' and it is about martyrs (people who are pursecuted and die in the name of Jesus Christ) and it reminds me over and over again, YOU ARE NEVER ALONE!!! The Christian religion is the most wide spread religion in the world, so just think that EVERYWHERE there are Christans pursecuted for their religion, and still DIE in Gods name. When someone makes fun of you, just piss them off by saying 'God Loves You!!!' or something that you KNOW will just tick them off. Dont be uncomfortable about your love for Jesus...your friends should understand that you follow Jesus with pride and strength. If you want, preach to your friends about the Lord...tell them to listen to you. There are so many wonderful rewards for living for God...in Heaven. Notice that over 40 people answered this question?? SEE?!?! You are NEVER alone, so never think that you are a freak just for loving God. My friends pursecute me sometimes about having a strong faith in God, but I push it out of my mind and continue to live for the Lord. If they are really your friends, they wont reject you. And if they do...use this (i have and it worked) For example, lets say one of your friends like movies a lot. Well you love Jesus, so if they make fun of you for loving Jesus...make fun of her for liking to see movies. Put some sence into their heads about the whole thing, and they will see that they were persecuting you for no reason. MAke sure to include the people being martyred around the world, and any other details. If you want, you can pick up that book i mentioned. Its brillaint and i think you will like it. :-D its called 'Jesus Freaks...and the Voice of the Martyrs' (there are a few books in the series, so make sure you pick up that one)
