Just for the info, I'm the shyest girl in the grade. Okay well I'm friends with this girl and she has a tendency to brag...a LOT. Okay, she is not very popular but she is the only one I can hang out with because I can't get to the next "group" in popularity levels. Then I made friends with this popular girl but I don't know how to approach her and talk to her at school, they all seem in one tight group. So basically I need to make new friends, but I'm supershy and I have a big fear of being rejected.

Being popular means nothing, i mean you dont want rumors to be spreading around about you, do you? lol just open up to people with the same interests as you. And start conversations by asking some questions or complimenting people. Everyone has a fear of rejection, but if they dont like you...then their obviously not even worht ur time.
