in our group of friends there is a girl (lets call her laura) who every1 else is always bitchin about. i join in with them sumtimes but i dont agree wiv it. the thing is, i dont wanna tell em off or anythin coz they wont like me as much, but laura's my feidn n i dont wanna lose her coz i was tryin to keep my other friends. help! you dont need to worry about all your other friends because if you like that other girl and you want to stand up for her then obviously the mean girls arent your friends!! just stick up for "laura" and be a good friend to her ! Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice, though recently another friend shed some light on the somewhat dodgy situation. Laura was actually being really horrible to everyone, and even started being horrible with me. The advice was good but it's a good thing I didnt have chance to take it because I would have lost my REAL friends in sticking up for a bitchy girl.
