Well maybe you should ask your boyfriend. Ask him if he really is going to. Also, is this ex a girl you can trust? If she isn't, then maybe she is lieing. Most likely she will be. Well, this happened to me with a girl. She wanted to no so she did this. Ask the boy if he likes you and say that you have an important reason for asking. He'll ask what it is and say I'm not going to tell you until you tell me if you like me or not. He will tell you yes or no and then when he asks for the reason, say you were just wondering. You don't have to do that, but it should work. Good luck.
