When you dump someone don't lie to them that just hurts them worse if the find out. Just tell him you don't think your ready for a commitment and that things would be better as friends becuase you think you need to be single for awhile.

Well if I were you, I would write a letter. Find out his address and write him that way he might call you before school starts. Mention in the letter that he should be able to trust you and to believe you not someone else. Tell him how much he means to you. But on the letter don't put your name, just the return address that way he will be curious and open it, not just throw it away. In the letter just say how upset you and how much you want to talk to him and to call you so you can talk things out, and get the REAL story. Don't seem mad in the letter, just write it as if you were being very calm. And just say what your hearts telling you
