short hair

i have shoulder length hair and was considering getting a very cute hairstyle i saw in a magazine which is a little below the chin with side swept bangs, but i've noticed that no guys seem to like short hair... everyone i've asked says they only like long hair on girls so i'm just curious why this is and if i should still cut my hair?

How do you make layers look good?
I've tried doing it.. and it looks out of place.
Are there certain colors to wear together and everything?
I want a more mature look. I'm 16 and I dress all comfy. (like t-shirt & sweatpants) I want to look good, you know?

i'm 15/f and i'm going on vacation with about 30 family friends. out of the 30, 4 girls are my age and i've known them since ever and this year i'm going to buy them a random gift from victoria secret. should i buy them all the same thing or should each person get something different? because what if one person doesn't like their gift and likes the other girl's gift?

i would like to lose weight before january to march.. or even christmas. waht do i do so that i can lose some fat in my stomach [i have a flabby stomach =( ] and also my thighs [whenever i walk theyre always touching.. that is not sexy] please help me. i`ve been looking for this [lose weight fast] for a long time. i dont wanna take those medicines or other drugs, i just wanna do something like.. i dont know. lol please help!! i want a nice body.

how do i make my face clear besides washing it? and is it wrong to use different brands at a time? like if i go from maybelline to cover girl.. then after a month i switch to revlon? same with skin products like neutrogena and then clean and clear then after 2 weeks i go to avon? is it wrong? is it gonna kill and ruin my skin? please help and please tell me a good eyeliner that cost about 5 dollars that wont smudge the whole day.. =] thanks!

15/f. i really want to start wearing cute belts with my jeans but i don't know what kinds to buy. i don't want to wear really preppy ones. i like studded belts but i think that is just a little too punk for me. so what other kinds of belts are there?

i love to straighten my hair. but then whenever its cold and raing outside, my hair gets all frizzy and curly. it looks like crap. is there anything i can do/use to stop that and still keep my haiir straight even though its raining?

I just started a new school this year,and I started dressing "preppy"/casual, and made lots of new friends with my outgoing personality and all. Well, on the other hand, my best friend (from a different school) is into the goth/emo scene, and for a little while a few months ago I was too. Now I'm back into it again, and when I changed my myspace to totally death-looking emo pics and changed my pop music to death metal, I'm getting so many more responses than I thought. And from the "preppy" people, they're not liking it too much and keep asking what's wrong with me and asking 'what happened?!'-and my other friends, including my best, love it. I want to start dressing that way, but I'm way too afraid of what the student p...

What's agood way to straighten your hair?

Naturally, my hair is kind of curly. Not completely, just a little. Anyways, I have a Corioliss Straightener (it's 100% ceramic), and I'm not getting hte results that I want. The other day, I spent a good hour striaghtening my hair, and since it was raining outside a bit, it got all curly and looked like total crap. I want it to be pin straight. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks. <3
