I was just wondering, because I know a lot of people make friends online and then meet up offline, and I've done it myself quite a few times.
Do you think that the type of forum or chat room you meet people on helps determine whether they are really who they say they are or how likely they are to be a paedophile?
For instance, do you think it's less likely that someone you've been talking to on a Christian chatroom/forum would be a paedophile than on a secular one?

Here's the problem.
Since around beginning of summer last year, this boy started liking my best friend. Until maybe August/September, the feeling was mutual, until my friend, let's call her Daisy, decided the boy, let's call him Donald, was getting too serious [which he was. I believe he was considering an actual future together]. Daisy moved on quickly, but to this day [coming up on 6 months now] Donald is still OBSESSED. I've talked to him since the day this whole thing began, even when they were still 'together', and nothing's happening. It's just annoying everyone. Nothing is working. What can I [or we] do?!

okay, well. i started a new school back in like, September. and I still dont' have many friends. I have a group of people i talk too and stuff, but i kind of want to make friends with other people too. I'm normally really shy and hate to start conversations. and i'm always afraid of messing up or embarrasing myself.
any tips on how not be shy?

ugh okay so im only 13 and i hate my life. like its not bad or anything but im always depressed and ive had a lot of stuff happen to me latly that i just cant handle and it doesnt take much to make me sad or mad and ive already tried to commit sucide but that didnt work and i want to run away so bad but i dont think i could go through with it and im just to confused as to wat to do becuz i dont wanna see a counserlour and i really dont think im depressed so i dont need to take any pills but is there something wrong with me and if so how can i fix it? this has been going on for way to long and i just want to give up and run away so bad

I've asked this before but let me clarify before getting more answers that won't help me that much. There's this girl, let's call her Jenny. Jenny and I were okay friends in 6th and 7th grade. At the end of 7th grade we were really good friends. But over the summer she did things that was hypocritical and such that got us to drift apart and we had a horrible history in 8th grade. Well there's this girl, let's call her Kelly. Kelly and I were good friends in 6th grade and half way through 7th grade, we were best friends. Well, me being stupid, I let Jenny get the better part of me which resulted me in breaking the friendship with Kelly. Jenny kept on saying how annoying and weird Kelly was. Running Away

One of my friends has decided that she wants to run away. She's tired of living with her abusive step dad. She's asked for me to help her go somewhere where nobody will find her, like out of state. We're both only 14... I don't know anything about what to do. She doesn't want me to tell anyone else. What should I say to her? I'm so scared for her! What on earth should I do?

My mum is positive the boy next door to us will 'harm'(touch) my brother. He's 13 and my bro's 3. I've known this boy for about 5 years now...and I haven't suspected him (although i don't relly talk to him much). He has 2 older brothers and his mother is one of my mother's best friends.
I don't know where she got this idea...but she said she saw the boy, one day, touch my brother's private. My bro wasn't wearing a pampers. I'm sure she's totally over reacting because she does this quiet ALOT! Also..it could be her mind to protect my brother because the night before she saw a baby and the baby's cousin raped her! I don't know what to think now...although I highhly doubt the boy's gay!!!

My best guy friend has this friend that's a girl that I highly dislike. They weren't friends from August til now. I think they're starting to be friends again, which really sucks for me. The reason he stopped being her friend in August was because she would keep bringing him places far away, like theme parks, etc. Then she'd leave without him knowing. I always went and got him, even when it was about 2 hours away. Why he wants to be her friend again I do not know. :/ How can I deal with this? For some reason it bothers me very much, to the point where I cry every night, hyperventilate and what not. I have told him, so what else can I do? Thank you.

I am seventeen and I met my best friend from doing plays together, we have alot in common, like we both like to sing and act. I have always liked my best friend as a brother but I am starting to develop feelings for him. He has always been feminine and people call him gay but I trust him when he says he's not. i used to be the most awkward kid in my school, but i really really REALLY changed over the summer. and i'm starting to make friends with people so that's good, but the thing is everyone's already like best friends with each other, while i'm just an okay friend. so when all the best friends are together and the okay friend comes along, i'm kind of left out in the conversation (not really intentionally..it just happens). and i can't just force myself into it uninvited because, come on if you and your bff were talking and this random girl started intruding you'd be annoyed too right? so i'm not sure what to do, but i know i really really really need to find a good friend at school fast, because i feel as if i have no true friends at my school. =/ help!?

so, around homecoming season at our high school, this girl that lives across the street from me started a bunch of stupid drama with me OVER A HOMECOMING DRESS. so she and her group of five or six girls hated me and my two best friends. about a month ago, they did a bunch of shit to my house [since of course they live just right there] i was out of town at the time. they harassed me and left me rude comments on myspace [yeah, really mature & all]. they are all mostly skanks, literally. so now one of my best friends mentioned above is becoming friends with the leader of the army of skanks and somewhat with another of the girls. it's rediculous and i can't believe it. i'm not anywhere near ready to forgive and forget. she acts like shes f...

I have a good friend mike and we've been friends for about two years now and were close. Ok me and my friend lets call her Mary have been friends for about a year now and she has treated me like trash. She ignores me and talks about me behing my back but she's the type that will tell everyone my secrets if shes mad at me. And when there's no one else to call she'll call me and use me as a "last resort" she is so consited and she never helps me with anything. I'm not saying im the "perfect friend" because im not so great either, but i don't talk about her behind her back untill well basically now. for a while now,i've had 2 masks(the way i act towards other people). one mask - my friends in the city i was born. two- the town i moved to.
really,im the first one. its the real me. but im too afraid to show it in my new town and towards the people there. really though,im SICK of hiding. i dont give a $^*% anymore. but if i dont then why am i afraid? how can i show my true self without them thinking im a fake? ps- the friends in my new town are only kinda- friends...its not like im going to have sleepovers or anything,but i really want that,how can i show myself with them still likeing me?

I have a best friend, we are always together and on the phone and laughing and even speaking eachothers words.
She went away to visit her other friend and i called her and stuff to see what was going on, and she was being mean to me and like rude and it hurt my feelings so much.
She like acted like she didnt even wanna talk to me or anything.
For like 3 seconds she would act normal and then she would get all nasty and stuff.
And We even promised that while she was gone, we were still gonna be best friends.
Why would you think she was doing this to me?
It makes me so sad, shes my best friend ever.
