The year I decided to try out for volleyball. Before the tryouts, we had 3 days of practice to get us ready. The 3 practice days are over, and they were pretty rigorous. After every practice, my wrists and legs would hurt for hours. It hurts to walk. Before practice, we run a few laps around the track and run up stairs to warm up. Tryouts are on Tuesday. Is there anything I can do to stop the pain from coming after practice? Or is it just because I'm not used to working out this hard and I'll get used to it after a while? (link)
well if you normally dont do that amount of excerise, then it is mostly from doing nothing to the next day doing a lot. But the most important thing that will help the pain at least a little bit is stretching, for volleyabll stretch, arms legs, everything, ur neck, wrists ankles, knees. the same thing happened to me and stretching helped A LOT!!

ps some streches are:
(standing up)(for legs and ankles):
* straight legs touch your toes
*leg spread about shoulder width apart touch each foot for a count of at least 10 the switch to the other foot
*cross one leg over the other and touch ur toes, switch legs
*pull one ankle up and hold it, then other ankle
* go up on ur tip toes the come back down (repeat many times)

(laying down) (for other):
*bring both legs straight up so that they are 90 degrees to the floor, do at least 20 of those

* there are many other stretches you can do. the volleyball team that you are trying out for should prolly stretch before playing and practice, and u can learn new streches from them...hope i

Thanks so much-I was hoping someone would tell me some stretches to do.
