i'm christina & i'm 18. i'm pretty typical. i love laughing, texting, sleeping, eating & watching tv. i'm originally from NY, but now live in SoCal with my boyfriend. i have 9 piercings & 3 tattoos. i'm brutually honest. i don't hesitate to say what's on my mind. my advice is the same way. i'm going to tell you what you need to hear rather than what you want to hear. i'm a shopaholic but whatever, i'm 18 so sue me. what teenage girl isn't!? right now i'm taking some online classes, but in the spring i'll be going to school for psychology. :) i'm very family oriented. i don't always get to see them though because plane tickets are expensive & i'm not exactly rich. i love them to death though & if i could get a pilot's license, i'd do it in a heartbeat! i work for an interactive tv show. if you have directv, you can catch me every sunday night from 12-4am PST as a host on Havoc on the 101. :)forum facebook twitter livejournal

Okay, I've been her best friend since sixth grade, and we're in 9th now. and since last year every time she switches her friends to her new boyfriends friends. Like when she dated an emo guy, she was all emo and was only friends with his friends. and now shes dating a football player. and shes all besties with his best friends, who are girls. and sometimes she will invite me to do stuff and talk to me, but just when shes not with them. Shes like their clone. she never even talked to these girls before she dated this guy... so i dont know if i should talk to her about it and just let it go...
Obviously you should talk to her about it. It's affecting the way that you see her, and it's taking a toll on your friendship (even though she probably doesn't realize it). If you continue to let your friend treat you this way without saying anything, you'll begin to resent her.
Tell her the problem, ask her how she feels, and then maybe come up with some things she can do to change it. It's not fair of her to ditch you for her new friends just because of someone she's dating. It's pretty easy to keep a balance between friends & relationships when dating.
On Monday, my friend Gabi told me that on Saturday, my best friend, Emily, had kissed a friend of ours, Chaise, on a dare. I was surprised she hadn't told me about it, and contacted her immediately to ask what had gone one. She had told me that no one else that was with them was going to tell anyone, including Chaise, and I promised not to either.
On Tuesday, Emily called me and told me that Chaise had told her that I had told 5 other people about what had happened on Saturday, when I hadn't told anyone. I told her otherwise and tried to forget about it.
The same day, I heard Chaise telling someone else that he was dating Emily. But when I confronted him about this, he told me had never said anything like that. I told Emily what I had said over Facebook. Chaise then found out and called me a bitch, bastard, and whore in 5 messages and all over my wall, and then tried to talk to me after wards. I deleted him from my friends and contacted Facebook, reporting him for abuse, but I need to know; What am I going to do now? I can't avoid him forever and now Emily doesn't trust me.
I think you need to sit down with everyone and explain the situation. Obviously explain to Emily that you never told anyone about her & Chaise, and the person that told you was Gabi. And you need to tell Chaise that he can't just insult you, call you a liar & post it all over your Facebook.
You're right that it's not possible to avoid someone forever, but you do need to confront them to get the truth out. Hopefully they all listen to you & get the sticks out of their ass. Sounds to me like you didn't do anything wrong.
Is there a difference between emo and goth?
I see people in school that call themselves one or the other but they seriously all dress the same do their makeup the same and kinda act the same. So is there a different or are emo and goth the same thing?
Thank you!
Slightly.
They all derive from the same thing, but are different branches of it. Kinda like Catholicism being a branch of Christianity. Same idea but with minor differences.
Anyways, it's pretty easy to tell the difference between the two groups. Emo kids are more emotional, more heart on the sleeve types of kids. Gothic kids are much more serious and seem more like loners.
If you need to see a picture to depict the difference, go to www.yourscenesucks.com
It shows you every type of stereotype derived from rock music.
i was thinking about having a sleep over with my best friend but im not sure what we could do or talk about any ideas please ? :P
If she's your best friend, what do you need ideas for? You guys already have a connection that will make you have fun together. I'm sure you guys will come up with something.
im getting the ipod touch and i was wondering can you get facebook on it and do you hove to pay to use facebook on it ?
Yes, and no. I'm pretty sure there's a Facebook application of some sort, and I'm pretty sure it's free. You just need wifi because that's how the iphone & ipod touch run. Without it, you can't use it.
seriously it's not fair how everyone my age is skinny and has perfict boddies and then theres me size 5 in pants and i am like five five or five six for my height and i am like xs/s in tops/shirts I just don't understand why i can't have the same bodie type as everyone eles:(????
Everyone is different, and nobody has the same body. You're 5'6 and wearing a size 5 in jeans. Your life can't possibly be that bad. Don't rag on yourself because there are girls shorter than you wearing bigger pant sizes than you.
Chill out. You're normal & there's nothing wrong with you. You're skinny, you just can't see it.
I'm 17, driving.
I can't drive much because I need gas for my car and my parents can like only give me soo much moeny you know. I need a job.
I live in a very farmland area, So, I applied to stores that are like 10 minutes away. That was back in April/May when I first got my license. I never got hired, and then summer came and I just figured I'll have my last summer to have fun and play tennis and stuff. Last month (October) I figured stores will start hiring for the holidays. So I reapplied at all them stores. Well it's November and I still haven't heard. I did reapply for a third time, and this time I moved to another town which is 20 minutes from my house. It's just soo frusterating. I walked into one store to hand my application in today and the lady flat out told me, "You didn't fill out your employment history" I was like "yeahh..." and she goes "We can't hire you if you never had a job before." It ticks me off because it's a body lotion store. Like, I don't understand How am I ever gonna get a job if they only hire people who already have jobs.
Also, my father had to take a pay cut and my mother's work is going on strike. So, like I want a job just so I don't have to ask for money. I'm 17 my parents try to treat me like an adult and me asking for money makes me feel like a helpless baby. Any Advice on my situation??
I was in the exact same boat as you up until July of this year when I got incredibly lucky. I had little to no job experience & places never even looked at me. I had a similar experience to yours. The guy looked over my application real quick, and he said "You don't have any job experience?" and I said "no." Apparently, it didn't cross his mind that this might be my first job & that I was looking to gain experience. :|
Anyways, the other day my boyfriend told me about www.snagajob.com. This site is LEGIT. I made a profile like 2 days ago, and yesterday morning I applied for a job at Macy's. That same day, they called me and I have an interview tomorrow. Go to that site, make a job profile, and type in your zip codes. They will find places near you that are hiring. I'd definitely give it a shot.
Just put down on the application that this would be your first job & that you're looking to gain work experience. I'm sure once they see that, they'll be a little more lenient. Good luck! I'm sure you'll find something. :)
Im applying for my school's newspaper's website as a blogger. They want specific categories to always blog about though. (We can choose how often we'd update it.)
They said that other bloggers have only blogged about politics & music.
Are there any ideas I can blog about regularly for the rest of the school year? Thanks :D
I would definitely suggest either fashion or movies. There's always a new trend or a new movie coming out so definitely try those.
What is the age limit to buy condoms? Is it different for boys and girls or anything? Does it matter which state I live in for how old do I have to be to buy condoms?
There isn't an age limit. Anyone can buy them.
Title pretty much says it all. I want to get my nose pierced and I want to know how much it costs and if it is worth it or should I get a friend to do it for me?
I am really scared of infection since I had an ear get infected and it was really bad.
Thank you please?
Piercing prices will always vary because every parlor is different. Some will charge more and some will charge less. It all depends on the shop, and who's doing it for you. You need to call & ask around. Call a few places, ask their prices, and then compare to see what works for you.
I definitely suggest that you get this done by a professional. A friend is not a professional piercer. They didn't get the license to do it, and chances are they will mess it up. Having a friend do it will make your chances of infection much higher. Have a professional do it, and you'll be fine.
I've never had my nose pierced, but I do plan on getting it, and I think the decision of whether or not it's worth it is completely up to you. Do you think it's a worthwhile investment? None of us can tell you. That's your call.
Anyway, see a professional, call and ask around & as long as you take care of it properly, you won't get an infection. :)
My question is pretty self explanatory. Long story short I was in an amazing relationship that began in July and ended well in September. I ended it with him because I couldn't all the drama that came from it (not from him but the catty girls and his dad thinking I didn't like him for him because I was so pretty, his brother thinking I'm a ****, etc.) and I still liked him and it killed me to do it and I still miss him a lot. My friends are all like you're too good for him blah blah the usual. I've hooked up with eh about 15 guys so far at parties, mixers, etc and no not like blow-jobs, or having intercourse or any of that. Just you know making out and stuff. I'm by far one of the classiest girls at my school and I still have looks to die for. Anyways yeah and I'm still NOT over him. You'd think after 15 hookups one including an American Apparel model that I'd be totally over it but nope. Can you guys help me out?
Hooking up with guys doesn't help you get over your exes. Hooking up with someone random is usually a "I don't really care about this guy, he's not who I want." type of thing. The guy you want is sitting at home or with his friends.
Honestly, if you still like him so much, ask him back out.
But stop calling yourself classy. 15 hookups since September is not classy.
I know you are going to think I am stupid but i really want to work at subway. I used to eat there all the time when I was younger and since then i have ALWAYS wanted to be the one making the sandwiches. Now I am older but still afraid that I am not old enough so how old do you have to be to work at subway anyway? Does it change depending on what state you live in or anything?
Thank you!
Signed,
Make mine a footlong!
I'm pretty sure that the average age is around 16. Why not go to your local subway & inquire whether or not they're hiring, and what the minimum age requirement is? It's better to find out from someone who's an employee there.
HI i'm 14 and my penis is 6.5 inches when i'm erect is this good or bad??? Please somebody tell me!
5 inches is average for penis size. You be the judge of whether it's good or bad now.
Hi there, I missed the yearbook meeting and they picked a task FOR me which is to compile list of "yearbook superlatives." One problem: I don't even know where to begin!
Can anyone give me advice on the kind of words they are really looking for?
They're looking for stuff like this:
Best dressed.
Nicest smile.
Best hair.
Most likely to end up on a reality show.
Best car.
Cutest couple.
Most inseparable pair of friends.
Someone told me that I wore my heart on my sleeve and I just stood there nodding like I knew what she meant by it but I really have no idea.
Can you enlighten me a bit? Thank you
To wear your heart on your sleeve means to be open about your emotions and to express yourself freely with no shame.
So I went in the living room after school and my mom was looking at PORN on her laptop. I totally don't know what to do about this. She is old and I don't understand why she would want to see porn. I just feel really wierd and I can hardly look at her. Can you help me get past this?
Just because someone is "old" doesn't mean that they can't look at porn. Sexuality, sensuality and a drive for passion doesn't go away just because you age. Your mother is human, and well above the legal age to look at porn.
She can do as she pleases. Just try to remember that like you, she's normal and has needs just like you do.
For my textiles course in school, I'm doing a sketchbook full of samples, drawings, info etc. on 80's fashion. I've got a few things for it, but I don't know any icons or bands that were big in the 80's. So does anyone know of any person from the 80's that would be interesting to do a section about? Like, who was fashionable and shows what the 80's were about? And any other information about the 80's would be good :)
Michael Jackson is definitely an icon. You could also try Madonna, or Blondie. Maybe even try Pat Benetar.

I had two cats, Toby & jack. jack was taken to my moms house for a month now to get fixed and everything... a little after he left, toby has been really affectionate; i dont know if its because he needs me to be like his Jack, because they loved each other.. if not mistaken, they were lovers.. hahah, but why is it that my cat who was never this affectionate before suddenly is? he never even liked being picked up and now he can sleep in my arms..
I'm no cat expert, but I think that since Jack is gone, Toby misses the love that Jack gave him. Since Jack isn't there, he'll have to be loving towards someone else, so he's chosen you.
I think it's adorable. :)
heyyy i need some songs with deepish lyrics. about love/partying/just plain happiness.

Someone told me I needed to stop this eating disorder because it could kill me but I don't believe them. Then today someone else told me the say exact thing! Can being bulimic kill you or are these people just jealous cause I am a size zero while they are like size 2 or size 3 fat chicks? I think they are fatties who are hating on me.
Bulimia can definitely kill you, and you'd be surprised how many people it kills each day. You may think that girls who are size 2-3 are fat, but they're not. They're actually quite healthy. So is a girl who wears a size 5. The type of fat girl you're thinking of is someone who's around 200+ lbs.
Anyways, what you need to do is see a psychologist. You have a very hardcore perception of body image, and it is going to kill you if you keep up. You will die if you don't get the help that you need to turn your life around.
Click search to find out what Bulimia will do to you if you keep at it.
