Can anyone tell me in their own words what they think the song Run-Around by Blues Traveler is about? I've looked up the song meanings, but I just wanted to see what other people thought it was about. Thanks, this is my favorite song!
I had the same question about three years ago.
The explanation I found at http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=423 (the first one) was good enough for me when I looked at the lyrics and it made sense.
"And I'll lie too and say I don't mind
And as we seek so shall we find
And when you're feeling open I'll still be here
But not without a certain degree of fear
Of what will be with you and me
I still can see things hopefully"
He "lie[s]" and says he "[doesn't] mind" that she doesn't want to be with him. He'll still be her friend, and "be [t]here" for her, but he fears he still can't hold back his true feelings.
"Hey baby let's keep in touch
But I want more than a touch I want you to reach me
And show me all the things no one else can see
So what you feel becomes mine as well"
Once again, he wants more than he can have -- she's just out of reach. He's so close to her as a friend but, of course, it's so close but so far away from what he really wants.
"I still got this dream that you just can't shake
I love you to the point you can no longer take"
At the end of the song, time has elapsed, and he still is mad with love for her, he's can't "shake" his dream.
The "run-around" is just the roller coaster of emotions she's taken him on.
where can i find the sheet music for stay (just a little bit longer) by jackson browne?
A fine selection.
There isn't anywhere that you can get the piano score for free, which is what I assume you want. You'll have to buy some type of book, for example, http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/store/smp_detail.html?item=1304935&cart=338755729120334459
I have a Yamaha P250 (top of the line pro stage piano) and a Fender ProJunior tube amplifier. I recently plugged my stage piano into the amp and it sounded killer. My only concern is whether or not it can damage my stage piano or amp. Both items are expensive and I want to keep them in great shape. So, is hooking my stage piano up to my amp going to damage any of my equipment?
It depends on a few things.
Since that's a guitar amp, you could damage that by sending a note that's both too low and too loud through it. The low frequency and high amplitude of the note can blow out the tubes in your amp.
It's essentially the same thing that happens to bass players who use a guitar amp instead of a bass amp.
Basically, if you're playing, just try not to play too loudly, especially when you're on the lower-pitch notes, and you should be fine.
Can an iPod play wma files if you sync them or no?
Nope. iPods only support the following music file types:
AAC, Protected AAC (purchased from iTunes Music Store), MP3, MP3 VBR, Audible formats 2/3/4, Apple Lossless, WAV, and AIFF.
I'm a trumpet player, and I went on vacation for spring break this week. Now I'm back, and I can hardly play a thing. My chops are way out of shape, and its never been this bad before. Just wondering if there were any suggestions that could help me get back in shape quickly. Like by Monday...??? Please let me know if you can help me.
Try to do exercizes on the trumpet, like simple scales and gradually increase the tempo.
When you feel like you've gotten your flow back, try to play your music again.
what are some really good classic hits that everyone knows but never knows who sings them?
ex: Super Freak. who sings that?
those are the type of songs im looking for. please and thank you!
ok well i've recently started playing the guitar and i'm totally into michelle branch's music so i was wondering if anyone knew a site or place where i could buy a michelle branch guitar music book? thanks a bunch ! i rate !
If there's no local music store nearby that has one, then SamAsh probably does.
hey, does anybody know of some acoustic songs for guitar that sound really good with just one guitar? (i already have "Time of Your Life" by Greenday and "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd) thanks so much!! -*jeanine
The Beatles - Yellow Submarine (the song, not album), Here Comes the Sun, Her Majesty, Michelle.
Chicago - Beginnings
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young - Suite: Judy Blue Eyes.
Led Zeppelin - Over the Hills and Far Away, Hey Hey What Can I Do.
Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven
George Harrison - My Sweet Lord
Rolling Stones - Ruby Tuesday, My Girl, Backstreet Girl, Angie, Wild Horses.
The Who - Pinball Wizard, Sparks.
There are like, a billion more. Go to a music store and ask for an acoustic guitar songbook.
haha, how pathetic you are. i know who you are, so i can beat the shit out of you. i see you all the time. no one really cares about your banning shit that doesnt work, becuase..i still can go in the chatroom. so, no..there's nothing you can do to stop it. oh well, get over it, and cry like a little bitch.
Really now? Who am I? There is no possible way you know who I am, all I've left on this site is my location, which I kept very vague too. Stop bluffing and stop plain lying.
I don't believe you can go into the chatroom, seeing as as soon as I did the right ban I haven't heard from you, so you're lying there again.
If I do see you in there I'll just end up banning more of your IP, if you get in you won't be in more than a few minutes, as long as I'm there.
I know kids like you, all you want is attention. You like the idea that you're being banned from different places because of your actions.
Once again, grow up.
This isn't Fern.
It's a chord with 1 3 5 b7 constuction.
No, really, it's not!
Ok it is. QUESTION: What is a "dominant seventh"?
Hmmm. I was going to say don't cheat but I realized you are some eerie genius.
i.e., a Dominant 7th with a root of C would be
C E G Bb
and is written as C7.
