I'll answer questions about damn near anything, and if you didn't get the answer you want, GO CRY ABOUT IT. I'm probably the samrtest 14 year old you'll ever meet, and the most modest, so if you want an opinion, I'm the only one who'll give you one from the point of a smart ass 14 year old. And hey, if I poke fun at you too hard, then message me. Not guaranteeing that I'll READ the message, cuz it'll probably just get stuck in my mail filter, but go for it. By the way, I love controversial/ religious questions, because I'm an Witch that has studied religion for years on the side, so I can pretty much shove all of your smack ass christian questions that you slept on all night telling yourself ooh this will be good, cuz theres no way that i'll find a rebuttal, trust me, i'll find a rebuttal half way from debating club to the wrestling team meet.

ive been a christian my entire life up until now, jsut before my whole life i gew up in the church, and thats how i was taught. now that im older i started to look into spirituality a little deeping and ive found that what i belive isnt really christianity. im going on a mexico missions trip with my youth group in a few weeks, we're goign to tijuana to build houses and work with teh kids. i've been twice, and its always a erally spiritual experience, i guess im kind of scared that i will fall back into how i was before, just because of all the pressure from everyone else, how do i stay clear from this, without not going on the trip? Alright, lets lay some ground for this answer. What I believe in is raw morality. No spirituality. You do the right thing because you believe in your heart that it's right, not because god say's it is, or any other deity you so choose to follow. Murder is wrong because it's an awful thing to do, as decreed by common sense, not by god. If god came down all of a sudden and said that murder was acceptable, what would you believe? You'd lose some faith in your all merciful deity now wouldn't you? That's because the law is the law regardless of what god says. You're being given an opportunity to go and build houses for people in tijuana, and they're a beautiful people, I happen to know people that go on these trips. Don't go on the trips to preach, go on them because helping these people is the right thing to do. And hey, if you ever find yourself in Tijuana, running from the cops, you've got a friend in the Mexicans. If you want more on the whole morality bit, give me an email, and I can reccomend some more columnists that can point you in the right direction. I don't know why when you asked this question people felt the need to educate you on Islamic and Christian beliefs. Being a missionary I'm sure you already knew, and I'm hoping that I helped.

To anyone, but especially to other Wiccans:
Hey,
I'm a Wiccan, and I think it's a beautiful religion and I really love it, but lately I'm finding I just don't have the time. I've read so many things that just say 'MAKE the time!' but that is so impractical when you are fifteen and in the middle of 21 GCSEs and an A Level (I kid you not...if you are English you will appreciate how hard that is lol)! I really desperately want to be a better Wiccan, to learn more about my religion, to be closer to the God and Goddess and nature, but I have no idea how. I walk to school and so I often try and think about and appreciate the nature...but I'm usually half asleep! Does anyone have any ideas?
I know that spellcraft isn't the only element of Wicca, and it is by no means the most important, so please don't suggest that I just 'do some spells'...for one I don't have the time and for another, my faith in this religion isn't quite so superficial that I can make myself believe I am being a better Wiccan by waving an athame through some incense smoke a few times a week. As Scott Cunningham once wrote in an excellent article, the ritual doesn't mean a thing if you don't mean it mentally. True Wiccanism relies on belief, not ritual. (link)

It would appear that you have a very busy schedule, and yes, I am also Wiccan, and faced nearly the same problem. The trick is not to take time out of either, but just intergrate the two together. If you are doing school projects such as creative writing, speeches, and poetry, just try to research and integrate some of your religion into your schedule. It works really well, as it helps you to learn about Wicca, and also to teach the rest of your peers a little something as well.
