Me and my guy friend have lockout (no class) twice. each class is 1 hour and 8 minutes long, so that is about 2 hours and 20 we minutes we have together everyday.. does anyone have any suggestions on things to do? I don't want it to get boring really fast. We can't leave school, and we will work on homework if we have any, but we still have a lot of free time and i dont know what to do during it. any suggestions will help (:

We're 17.

You could take some plain paper and do some sketches, or write stories, or other types of crafts. you could set yourself up a personal project to learn something you really want to that isn't offered by the school. You could take a book and read. If you have access to the internet during this time then your possibilities are limitless.

im vegan. i have no clue how to make tofu. or prepare it. or what to prepare it with. Tips? rate 5's and feedback

Tofu is pressed bean curds. I expect you can make it yourself, but it'd be so much easier just to try and buy it in your local supermarket.

I seem to recall the last time I went to a japanise resturant the put little cubes of tofu in the miso soup and that was really nice.

I think you can fry it in cubes or slices [tofu on toast?], and mix 'raw' tofue cubes with a salad. You can probably stir-fry it as well. Maybe put it in a marinade and fry it.

It's not very nice on it's own though, it's very bland and some can be salty, so it's always best to add some kind of flavouring to it: herbs and spices, garlic, olive oil, marinades. Just experiment with flovours and recipies you know you already like.

Hope that helped some. Happy cooking :)

I'm 17 and I'm going for my first job interview. I've never been employed before. It's for a big store that I usually shop at, and I'm very nervous. Does anyone know what kind of questions the interviewer will ask me? What kind of clothing should I wear to the interview? I don't want to seem desperate & I don't want to say anything wrong.

Look smart.

As far as I'm concerned, being yourself is alright, but when you answer questions make sure you anwers as them positivly as you can whilst still being honest.

Usually interviewers will ask why you want the job, if you've ever done anything simmilar. If you hand them a CV they might ask questions related to that, like why did you chose to do xyz course, or why you like any of the hobbies you've put. I've always found that interviewers like to get a feel for the type of person you are, if you're reliable and what motivates you.

Sometimes the interviewer will show you the sort of stuff you'll be doing and ask to see you do it. Thats really mean I know, but it gives them an idea of how you cope under pressure as well as how suitable you are, so try and play it cool.

Try to relax, and be confident in yourself and what you can do, and always try to make eye contact when you're speaking directly, face to face.

Good luck!

I have this project for my summer algebra class and part of it is using a graphing calculator, the TI-83 plus. We have to graph the flag of a mathmetician (I have the Netherlands). We have to use the draw program and I don't know how to shade it so that one of the stripes is lighter than the other. If anyone knows how to use the draw program and knows how to shade (its not in the shade section, you have to type something but i cant seem to figure it out). I have checked the manual and it talks somethinga bout patres but I don't understand.
Thanks!

Well I found a couple of help sites on Google, but since I don't really know what you're doing I can't give you any specific help. Have you tried asking any of your fellow students or your teacher for help?

Some of the sites I found:
http://www.atomiclearning.co.uk/ti_84 [you have to subscribe to this site, but it was the best I found]
http://www.howardcc.edu/math/calculator/ti83frame.htm
http://www.prenhall.com/esm/app/calc_v2/frameset_83.html

Hope this helps some :)

ok well, this is kind of a retarded question but ill rate 5's for honest answers.

so i was talking to my friend bob on the phone and he told me to three way my bf mike and so pretty much they did ALL the talking and left me out of everything. then I was like "well, im leaving" and hung up. then mike called back and was all like "hey whats up? when you hung up it hung up on both of us so ya" and then i was like "call him back" and he was like "i dont want to" then bob called on the other line and mike was like "ok thats him" and then we said goodbye to eachother. now its been about 15 minutes now and i miss him and i want to talk to him but at the same time i dont want to let my guard down. as you can see im a very stubern person. anywho should i call him back or let him talk to bob? and also sometimes i feel as if im the only one that cares about "us" and i want to talk to him about it but i dont know how...any sugestions??? thnks sooo much!

Humm, I've had this a couple of times myself. I personally think it gets easier as you get older. But what I do is think 'Well, I know he wants to talk to the other guy, so I'm going to go re-arrange my books/ re-design my website/ go for a walk [etc] for an hour or so and then when I come back I'll call him and make him pay attention to me.'

If you ever got into that sort of situation again, then you should try asserting yourself in the conversation. For example, if my boy and someone else are talking about, say, computer games, I wait for a break in the conversation and interject with something like, 'oh that game reminds me of a book a read, it was a really cool book'. Or try asking a question about said game or something related like graphics cards.

As for the whole talking about 'us' thing. Find a time when you can be alone in a relaxing place, and broach your fears and explain your feelings. I know that guys tend to not care as much as girls do, but it's still a good idea to try and get him to understand. However, it's always been my experience that he'll either say 'I don't know what you're talking about, we're fine' in which case it might be a good idea to relax and trust he's right, or he'll say 'yeah I see what you mean/ I've been feeling like that too/ I'm sorry' sort of thing, in which case it's probably a good idea to talk about it and suggest ways that he can make you feel better or that you can get to spend moretime together or something.

I hope some of this has helped :) [And good luck ;)]

I seriously want to lose weight. There's just a couple of problems, though. I only need to lose 10-15 pounds. I am anorexic..sort of. I go two or three days without eating and then I start again. That doesn't work a lot because my parents always force me to eat or I can't go out or something. I really want to lose weight and get on a diet, but with me it's kind of "eat" or "don't eat", not "eat only this". And everyone thinks I'm already skinny, but my thighs and stomach aren't. =/

If I diet, I would like to be on weightwatchers, but I don't know how many points I need to limit myself to in order to lose weight quickly. Also, my parents don't want me dieting.

How many points should I allow myself for weightwatchers? How do I diet without anyone (and I mean anyone) else knowing?

Humm, it sounds to me like you have some eating problems. I would suggest you not consider dieting at all. Instead try doing more excersise, and talking to a proffesional about these eating problems. Often eating problems are a side effect of some other problem, so finding out why you have eating problems might help you sort the underlying problem out and with it your eating problems.

I hope this has helped and you'll feel better soon :)

Hello. I was just wondering if any of you knew how many seasons there are altogether of Beavis and Butthead. I'm buying the second season tomorrow from Best Buy because it's on sale. I already have the first. If anyone can please let me know! I tried searching on the Best Buy site, but all it came up with was the Beavis and Butthead Do America movie. I'm stupid for asking a question about Beavis and Butthead, but I think their funny as hell! Don't make fun of me! ;-)

According the Internet Movie Database [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105950/], there are seven.

I am in the US.

If I receive a call from overseas on my
cell phone (Cingular), is it free? or am
I charged for the call?

It really depends on you network. You should check out Cingular's website [http://www.cingular.com/] as this should be able to tell you.

But I do know that if you travel abord from the UK you are usually charged for both calls and SMS.

hey anybody have any good web site hosts that are free and you can put video clips on there

MPADC.com, the free starter package gives you 25mb of space, and I'm pretty sure they let you put whatever you want up, file wise [I have three MP3s on my site].

Hey, well I go to a Church and we are having some problems getting more people come to our youth group. My brother asked me to figure out some stuff girls can do at youth group. Because the guys always play sports and the girls dont like it so we dont play and were bored. So what are some of the stuff girls can do? I thought about cooking..like making a quick snack for all of us but thats all I have. If you can help me with more ideas I'd appreciate it. And if you go to youth group at a church, what are some of the stuff you do? Thanks so much and I rate all 5's!

xo_sherry_ox

Well, my group use to have debates about everything from what was the best type of chocolate spread to hidden meanings in the bible; do all sorts of crafts like glass painting and paper mache; party-esqu games; movie nights and so much more, except I can't remeberanything else right now. I hope that helps you get the ball rolling though:)

i want to wear a strapless bra do they hurt casue i havnt worn one b4 lol isnt this stupid but i wnat to no and do they feel the same?

i dont no where to put this but ya!

They feel the same. Strapless bras usually have a very wide under-band, so all the support comes from it being slightly tighter than usuall. You might find as the day/ evening progresses though that you need to stop and pull it up slightly, but thats only because it's streaching as you wear it, and some of the support is goiong.
But yeah, they essentially feel the same.

I was wondering if it was ok to go shopping with your mom every now and then. Cause i go up to Pennsylvania every summer and Christmas to see my mom and i am 14. We always go shopping together because i dont have friends up in Penn. cause im only staying there for just a few weeks, so i was wondering if its strange or immature or something just cause you go shoppin with your mom for clothes and coffee, please, i really want peoples opinions! thanks so much!

If you an your mum have a good relationship, and if you have simmilar tastes then it's fine. I know people who are in their 30's that go shopping with their mums evey once in a while; It's not silly or immature at all.
Go for it and have fun :)

What is an American dollar worth in English pounds?

XE.com and moneycentral.msn.com both put the exchange at £0.55 =$1.

hey this is XxalyssaxX and well my friend just asked me to go to her brothers wedding with her and i need to know what to wear! lol im gonna go shopping and everything but the last time i went to a wedding well actually all the times i had a specific out fit like brides maid and flowergirl lol! stores would b good! ;) thanks ppl!

Well, think about when the wedding is. Is it soon or is it next year? Try to match your outfit to match the season [ie, fairly robust outfit for winter, a floaty number for summer]. Try looking in department stores as they usually have a ballgown/ bridal section and they can suggest things that might look good on you. It also depends on weather you want a dress or not. If not I would suggest a smart trouser suit.
Have fun :)

Hello! I was recently told by one of my teachers that we have to do community service. Since I love basketball, I decided to either create a youth basketball organization where I can teach young kids, about 5-7, basketball basics and skills (I'm almost 14 by the way.), or join a place like YMCA where I can help out the youth basketball teams? And if it helps...I live in Michigan.

-- First of all, which one do you think is a better idea?

-- If it's the first one, how would I be able to start this, and am i old enough?

-- If it's the second one, what other place would i be able to go to help youths in basketball (besides YMCA)...I already googled and I still can't find anything..

Well, I don't really know the US rules, but I would have thought that you can't be a mionor [under 18/21] and start a club like that formally, so I would go with the second option.
Most libaries [or other community centers] have a list of places that doing things like what you want, so you could check there, or talk to the YMCA people and see if they have any ideas.
Good luck :)

ok i have an open diary thing and ik that wen u r reading other peoples u can go to diary circles or topics and pick between one. example: maybe depression..eating disorders..etc. i want to see which category my diary is under but i dont kno how. help if u can! thanks!

Well if Open Diary is anything like any other blogging site, then you should be able to choose what topics you belong to. There is probably a menu somewhere called 'my information' and then there should be one under thant called 'my topics' or somthing.
Good luck :)

why did they take away the Addictions question category thingy???

Spacefem removed it as it was one of the subjects that really didn't need its own catagory, it was being abused and generaly not doing very well.

Okay, so there's this really cute guy that I really like. Yesterday, I found out that he likes me. Naturally, I'm stunned. He starts holding my hand, and rubbing my shoulders, and nibbling my ear, but something inside me told him to stop. Now he doesn't like me anymore, because I told him to stop. I don't get it. That's what I dreamed of. That's what I had wanted, and I told him to stop! Geez, I'm all confused. Was it wrong? Is it all for the best? Am I right? Am I crazy?

Okay, well I don't know how old you are, but I hope I'm right in guessing early teens.
To answer you questions in order: no, probably, yes, no.
And now for the science:
These little actions can be seen as him trying to 'make a move' on you [especially the ear nibbling!], which you might be a bit nervious about. Also, I would guess you don't really know each other, and they are the sort of thing one does when one is more fammilier with a person.
And really, if he stopped liking you just because you didn't want him making sexual overtures then there is somthing wrong with him and you are better off with out him.

Maybe you could try talking to him to see what his deal is. Good luck :)

Ok, I have a few random questions.

1. It's my time of month...so my skin is breaking out. And now I'm getting a pimple inside my nose. And it's not just on the edge...it's on up there. Is there anything I can put on it?
2. When I shave (mostly my legs) the very day...they are already fuzzy. I have dark, thick hair... and it seems it grows back within 1 night. I have tried putting lotion...but sometimes I think that makes it grows back worse. Any ideas?
3. I've decided not to shave "down there" but just trim it...how short should i keep it?

Thanks.

1.There isn't much you can do. If you have somthing like clean&clear, which is very liquid, you could try putting some on a cotten bud and stcking up there.
2.have you tried waxing or hair removal creams? they might work better.
3. I would keep it short enough that when you are on, and you go to the loo, the hair doesn't get stuck togehter. So pretty short, but not so that you are at risk of cutting yourself when you trim.
