To summarize the search results: those leg cramps are pretty common in teenagers. They will reduce in frequency as you get older. If you don't already, take a multivitamin every day. If that doesn't help, see a doctor.

Hey,
I live in manitoba, in canada, and its freezing here right now. Last week I was outside without a hat on and my ear got really red, and hurt alittle, but it stopped hurting after about twenty minutes. I was alittle worried about frostbite, so I started wearing my hat. Today it was super cold (-45C, I dont know what that is in F sorry :P) and I think that even though I was wearing my hat, I got frostbite. Last time the soreness went away right away, but its been about nine hours since I went out and it still hurts when I touch it. I know its not severe, but is there anything I should be doing to treat it, or will it heal itself?
Thanks for the help!
-Ange

At this point there's nothing you can do. It will heal itself. Try not to go out in the cold for a while.

I've heard from a few people that putting your laptop on your lap is bad, because it emits radiation and can cause some damage to human organs. Is this true?

No. There is absolutely no danger from any kind of electronics. Salt substitute is made of potassium, which is slightly radioactive, but much more radioactive than electronics. And you don't see anyone dying of salt substitute, and they *eat* that.

Radio waves used in WiFi isn't dangerous either. It causes some mild heating of your body, similar to putting your hand in a microwave. The heating is harmless, and it will never get dangerously hot.

whagt is the symptoms of head concusion

Confusion, loss of memory, and unconsciousness. You should visit a doctor within two days if you are suffering from any kind of injury-related confusion, even if it resolves itself. Go to a hospital immediately if you fall unconscious for any amount of time due to an injury.

Hi I am a 16 year old female and I have been playing softball and during practice I took a line drive right to my lower shin almost where your foot meets your shin and it has been several weeks, but there is still a bump there and it is always numb feeeling when I touch it. And also whenever it gets bumped slightly it swells up really big and gets really hot. Does anyone know what this is. I am going to the doctor next week, but iwwas wondering if this has happened to anyone and what they do about it. Thank you!

Probably some sort of cyst. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

A dumb thing happened. I was getting up from dinner last night and I smacked my knee on the kitchen table leg [its hardwood]. It stung for a few seconds and went away. An hour or so later, it was really painful to bare too much weight on it or bend it. I went to bed with it hurting. When I got up for school, whenever I bent it or went up/down stairs, it really hurt. It still hurts now. Through school it's been a bit of a pest. Basically the pain is coming from bending/moving around weird. If I sit or stand for a long amount of time, its barely there. I thought it was just a bruise, but it feels like a rubber band snapping or something of that sort. Any ideas on what this might be? Is it necessary to go to the doctor?

Thanks!!

Put something warm on it and take some painkillers. If it hasn't gone away in 3-5 days, or it gets a lot worse, go to the doctor.

i keep getting blisters on the bottom inside of my foot. i have lacrosse practice daily so i cant just stop running. but is it my socks causing it? shoes? or does it just happen? and is there anyway to heal them without stopping running altogether?

Sometimes it's from shoes that are too loose, but usually it just happens. They'll turn in to callouses after a while, then they'll stop hurting.

My big toe is broken. Plain and simple, it is definitely broken, please trust me. I haven't told my parents about this, because I am afraid to go to the doctor. It's been broken for about two weeks now. It feels like it hurts more and more everyday. Which might make sense, because since no one knows it's broken.. I am always the one having to go up and down the stairs for everyone and driving everyone everywhere. I never get to rest it. And it's disgustingly swollen. I just hide it like nothing is wrong, and no one would ever know. I just can't do it anymore. It hurts. So my question is, can anyone tell me what might happen if I go to the doctors? X-Ray? Height/weight? Think I might get a cast? Crutches? I am seriously very frightened. For the past two weeks I've felt like I'd rather live with this pain rather than face the music at the doctors. And another thing, is there any possibility the doctors might tell me it's best to leave it alone and stay off of it as much as possible? Could it "heal" on it's own? If I keep my mouth shut about it, will the pain eventually fade on it's own? What would be my consequences by not taking care of it in a proper medical fashion? Finally, I am over 18 years, and we don't have any sort of health insurance. How much would it presumably cost to take care of? Anything you can give me is more than I already have, so thank you so very much!!

They will very likely just tell you to stay off of it. If it's sticking out sideways really bad they might have to put it back into place. They might do x-rays. Bones heal on their own. It will permanently heal into the position it's in, though, and if the position is an odd one it could hurt for the rest of your life.

right 5 years ago in rugby a guy went into my coler bone knee first my coller bone snapped in half hit my vertebre in my neck and fractured it. i went to hospital had to wear a neckbrace for a few months right its 5 years later now. and ever since i broke my neck it keeps cracking . everyone finds it discusting but if i crack it it feels really nice and not cramped any more can any one tell me why it cracks and is it bad for me??

not much is known about cracking joints, not even what causes the sounds. Many people say it causes arthritis, but there is no conclusive evidence. It probably feels good because it temporarily numbs the area around the bones. I've found that if I crack my neck every day for months, it will start to get stiff and sore. After some time of not cracking it, it returns to normal. What you should probably do, is crack it only with the muscles in your neck, and not your hands, or only do it once in a while.
