Personally? No, but then I don't believe in God. So for me the question of what is and isn't a sin is a bit moot because I have to think about what I think is okay from my own moral perspective.
I suspect (though I'm certainly no expert) that from a strictly Biblical point of view (or indeed many other religious books) it is. But so are many, many things that people do all day every day, even very religious people (for example, the Bible forbids people to lend or borrow money with interest but if you have a bank account you're doing that automatically!)
I think if you're wondering whether or not to have sex before marriage yourself you should think about whether you personally feel comfortable with it. That might be from your own perspective or from how others around you would react. But you should make up your own mind ultimately and don't succumb to peer pressure either to have sex, or not to.

Of course - or a singer, sports star, heck even a politician if you're really weird! Like you said - "just don't go bananas". Maybe look up some fan sites for this person and you'll probably find tons of other people with a similar crush to you. And in all likelihood, in about 6 months' time, you'll have a crush on someone else altogether ... Enjoy!!
