It seems like either this guy just thinks of you as a really good friend he can talk to about girls, or hes trying to make you jealous. You should just tell him you think you like him. Let him decide what the next move should be

Talk to your best friend! If she likes him a whole lot and tells you she'd like you to not make a move-then dont! Friendship is more important then any guy. If she says its cool if you date him then go for it! But be careful of hurting her feelings. And she may feel your rubbing it in her face that you got this guy if you share every detail of your reltationship. Just watch out!
