I would like to build credit history and build my credit score by using a credit card to pay my bills, but how can I get a credit card when no one will aprove me because my credit history is not long enough? Is there a card that accepts people with little or no credit history? Something that doesn't have high interest? Thank you for your time.

Prepaid cards are the best option. They work like one of those "universal gift cards", but you can refill them and they increase your credit score in the same way that credit cards do. Here's a list:
http://www.creditcardassist.com/prepaid/creditcards.html

Prepaid cards are not a very good deal (lots of fees and no interest on your stored money), so get a real credit card as soon as you can.

Also, your credit score will increase just from owning a checking or savings account and not becoming overdrawn.

I'm 24 years old. I work full time (40 hours a week). I make decent money, roughly $1300/month. I pay two bills every month, a car payment and a cell phone bill. My parents don't ask for rent, and they pay my car insurance. I've tried and failed to get a car (not brand new, but newer and more reliable than what I now have) numerous times. I've been told no one can help me because I don't have sufficient credit. I have two things on my credit report, totaling roughly $300. I guess my question is to start getting credit, do I have to clear my credit report? It's starting to get a little frustrating.

The problem is that the creditors don't have enough information about your credit history. Get a credit card and use it to pay for as many things as possible. _Make sure_ that you pay them off completely, or else you'll waste money on fees and make your credit worse.

Ok, so you all know how on the news it will say something like:
Gold is up $2.00
Oil is down $0.50

and stuff like that, well I was wondering what is "Dow Jones" because I see that on the news and I don't know anyone who knows what Dow Jones are...

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is based on the average stock price of 30 companies considered representative of the market. Generally, if the Dow goes up, everyone makes money. If it goes down, everyone loses money.

The NASDAQ Composite and the S&P 500 are similar.

do you have to be 18 to get a credit card?
anddd which credit card is the best?

when you get a credit card, do you always have to swipe the card at the store, or can you take like $100 off the card?

You must be 18 to get a credit card. It's a federal law. As fortylove pointed out, anyone can get a debit card.

Here's a neutral comparison of credit cards:

You can usually take money directly out of the card at an ATM, but the interest might be higher.

hi. well im thinking of buying norton 360 2.0 to protect my PC. on the British websites it costs £59.99. On the american websites it costs $80, so at the current exchange rate, i would pay £40. is this how it will work? or do i have to pay something else? i dont need to pay for p+p because i download it. thanks.

Yes, that is correct. $40 is equal to about £40.9 right now. I don't recommend Norton, though. Its detection is alright, but the application is huge and annoying. Read my comparison of free antivirus applications:

If you really want to buy one, buy NOD32, it's the best:

Could it be possible to buy a country? I mean not like so if you have it, you're king, but could you buy all the land in some place like Africa? Like think of the most poverty-stricken low-quality of living country in the world. If some person had like trillions of dollars/euros could they go and buy the land in the country and just make it a better place? Could someone explain this to me?

Yes, but land is very expensive. By my calculations, which are certainly very off, all the land in Africa is worth $18,209,734,800,000*. That's 18 trillion dollars. The US makes $13 trillion per year, not including expenses. No individual has even $1 trillion.

Add to that the cost of living, which I estimate to be $7000 per person**, absolute minium. For every poverty-stricken person in Africa, that would be $4,410,000,000,000($4 trillion)*** per year.

So you can see that it is beyond any one person, or even any one rich nation to help the people in Africa. Many nations would have to come together and devote an extreme amount of resources to help Africa. And at this point Africa might not even accept help, their political situation is very messed up.

(*Assumes $80,000 per acre, an arbitrary guess)
(**Based on IRS national living standards)
(***Calculated with 70% poverty level)

For school for extra credit for the next few monthes we have to do this virtual stock exchange thing online.... just the only thing is I know nothing about the stock exchange or how it runs. What are some good companies to invest in?

And i was on there and it asked if I wanted to have it as a day order or until I cancel it or something?

and tips on how to go about this and who to invest/not invest in.

I Know google is a good one but other than that I am clueless

You want to buy things that are very low, but will probably improve. Don't buy something high, or something that you think is doing as good as they possibly can.

After you buy, wait until right before you think they are going to fail, then sell it.

So, you a share of Microsoft at 15. They're doing steadily better. After it goes up to 25, you hear that there is a major security issue with Vista, and that will affect sales. At that point you should sell it. You made a profit of 10.

seriously, what's up with gas prices nowadays? yesterday my dad filled up gas that was $3.41 a gallon! why is it so expensive?

The gas stations work together to raise the gas prices in one area, so they all can charge people ridiculous amounts without worrying about competition. And oil companies who supply the gas are marking it up *a lot*; Saudi Aramco, the largest oil company, makes 350 Billion dollars a year.

I just heard about the FairTax. I looked it up on WikiPedia, but it's so confusing the way they word everything.

Can someone please explain to me what the FairTax system is, and how it is different than the tax system we have now? And which one is better?

It changes everything into sales tax. So instead of the (around) 6% extra you pay for goods, it could be more like 25%. So people who buy more pay more. In the current system, rich people actually have to pay *less* taxes than the rest of us, this will reverse that. Our "representatives" are all filthy rich, so don't expect this to happen any time soon.

About what does one person make on Minimum Wage per year? (in the United States)

Federal is $5.55($11,544 per year), some states are higher. Here's a complete state list:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._state_minimum_wages

Jobs usually pay about 50% more than the minimum wage they are required to.
Convert hourly to annually with

hourly * 8 * 5 * 48

8 is hours, 5 is days per week

Hey, well i just checked out wwww.agloco.com and had a few questions-

1)what is your personal opinion of it?
2)how much do you get?
3)has it inhibited anything that you do online?

Thanks!

The viewbar hasn't been released, so I haven't even tried it yet; I was just trying to build my network before everyone already is using it. I get a percentage of what you make by using the viewbar if you sign up from clicking the link on my column. I also get a smaller percentage from anyone you refer.I'm not "stealing" the money you earn, what I would get is "added on", so you don't lose any money from being referred by me.

My personal opinion is that agloco is the first honest company to do something like this. From reading their blog and the rest of their site, it seems to me that the people running this are good people. It also seems like a great way to make money.

You get money based on how long you're online, not how often you click the advertisements. One hour will probably be equal to $.50 to $1.00, so you won't be making a fortune. But if you spend a lot of time online, as I do, it will accumulate and become a large sum over time.

If you run the computer with 1024x768 resolution, you'll hardly notice it's there. You probably shouldn't even think about it if you're using 800x600, though.

If you decide to sign up, please sign up at this page, so it shows you as my referral(sign up at the page it brings you to, don't go anywhere else on the site or I won't get your referral):
