I told my mom that I watch this show called the fosters on abc . I'm 13 and it's probably not a show they would approve of cause of lebian thing but I kinda like the show and I'm only watching it because my friend recommended it to me. So what should I do because I don't know what to say if they bring it up when I already told them its because of my friend. Plus it's not really a bad show. (link)

I myself have never watched that TV Show, however, they're your parents so they will be concerned about what you watch. I don't know how your parents are or their customs, but I do have to admit that a lot of TV series nowadays are very inappropiate for younger audiences. Try to show them the good things about the show and not let them focus in any negative aspects. I have never seen it but I know what it's about, I suppose to some people it may be worrisome that some of the main characters are homosexual, tell your parents about any other themes beside that one.
