I've decided to take a pregnancy test two weeks after taking the morning after pill. is the result going to be accurate or is it possible that the hormones from the morning after pill mess with it?

At home pregnancy tests are testing for the presence of HCG, human chorionic gonadotropin. This is because this hormone is only released if implantation of the zygote (fertilized ovum) has been implanted/embedded in the endometrium lining of the uterine wall. So, that is basically what the test is testing for, and if HCG is present, it means implantation has occurred. That's why pregnancy tests are iffy, you can never really be certain until you get your period (which is the shedding of the endometrium linig). I am currently a pre-med student and this information is from my anatomy class (reproductive organs/system chapter,) so if you have any more questions let me know!
