Okay so I am in senior year. Here 12th grade is VERY important..My admissions into a good college will be only on the basis of the marks I score in my "board examination" which is held at the end of the year. The papers are not checked by my teachers but by some other teachers who don't know me and are teaching in some other school. This is done to make the examination fair. The cutoffs for any college where i live (new delhi) are CRAZZY. I mean nothing below a 475/500 is acceptable.
I have Physics, Chemistry, Computer science, English and Maths as my subjects.
Im telling you all of this just so that you know there is a lot of pressure to perform well.. and I have to in order to get a good college.
Ive just been real distracted for a while. I don't know how to concentrate on my studies. I dont feel like sitting with my books. It is freaking me out because every day matters to me. Please help!!!!!
If it helps. I havent been that bad in my studies. I wont say its cutting edge but then im one of the top 10 students in my class. Its just that i dont know how to get that extra edge..so that i can actually get into a college here. a very good college..

Well first off, when you study you study in moderation. Yes everyday does count but this is why you make a study plan, so that your not stressing or thinking am I spending too much time on this? Shouldn't I be revising? I'm not saying go out and have a party but take a small break each day from your studying to just de-stress, yes this is a very important time for you but stress and revision really doesn't go well. Even studying somewhere other than your room can help, try a park bench? maybe in your garden, different scenery and open spaces tend to help people relax more and feel at ease because they don't feel like they're trapped between the walls of their bedroom. As for getting that extra edge - it's how you study. you have 5 subjects to study for make a couple of hours for each subject each day? and you pick which two days you would like during the week to just relax. Try revising in a fun way so it sticks in your head more, listen to pod casts on an mp3. Little things like that might help you as we tend to learn more hearing and looking. Make your notes bright, anything! Just make sure you keep those stress levels down, good sleep, sufficient food, and a PLAN. I really do hope this helps, please inbox if you need more help!, good luck with everything!!xx
