i am currently studying family and children studies certificate III at wollongong tafe and i love it. i love kids and one day i hope to become an early childhood teacher and work with 0-3 year old children. i'v been writing poetry since i was 13 and i hope that one day i can publish them in a book! that is one of my dreams.

This guy and I had been pretty close best friends for 3 years. He was leaving out of state and it was hard to say goodbye. We said our goodbyes, and then a week later i find out that he hadn't left!!! I was thinkin, what he fu**? Are you kidding me? So he had been hiding the fact that he hadn't left. I felt so used. I felt like wow, you tricked me into thinking that you liked me and having me tell you how much i liked you by saying you are leaving? that is some fkd up sht....when i confronted him about the situation, the boy was freaking out. He felt very bad about it....to the point where he was about to cry. He said that he had been planning to surprise me for my birthday, but the thing is he didn't say a word to me on my birthday!!!He forgot about it!!!! He said he had called me but my phone was off, true, there was a time when it was off...but i'm sure thats not the reason why he called...he had called to find out if my best friend's friend was still having her party with me. The thing that makes me not believe a word he says is because He felt so bad about it. I feel like he had been lying to me about so many things, and when i caught him, he felt bad. He didn't want me to see his real side so thats why he kept apologizing and trying to cover up for the shit he did. What do you guys think? am i on the right path? (link)

i think your on the right path, but for him to lie to you about something as big as leaving, thats a bit weird even if he was "going" to tell you on your birthday.
you said that you found out that he didnt leave so why didnt he tell you..
you need to ask yourself:
-was it cos he didnt want to see you for a while?
-why did he lie about this in the first place?
-when was he planning on telling you that he didnt leave?
-and how long was he planning on going without you knowing he didnt leave?
he was probably only freaking out cos he got caught and didnt have an excuse for you so he panicked. i dont think that was a nice trick to play on you or anyone for that matter..
doesnt it make you feel like he doesnt want you in his life cos he lied to you to get you out of it. this boy just does seem like an ASS! and you deserve better then that! if this happened to me i wouldnt waste my time on him anymore.
to me it doesnt seem like he wants to be your friend anymore.
