"Nothing at last is sacred but the integrity of your own mind." - Ralph Waldo Emerson, from Self-Reliance
please please please help me !
what does this mean?
thank you in advanced
Well, if I had to explain it, I would probably phrase it like the original. However, it means that while everything around you may be corrupted (people, politics, religion, your environment in general), the only thing YOU have control of is your own mind. Your mind is your responsibility. He's basically saying that the ability to think for yourself is sacred. This means that if you continue to study Emerson, you may want to start figuring out his quotes on your own for them to mean anything.
