Hey, I'm Melody! I've been giving advice on and off since 2003. I'm a 23 year old military wife, expecting a baby boy in August, and working on my Bachelor's degree. :)
Oh, and ask me anything!
Advice
Hey, I've been a bit overwhelmed with my school schedule and work. I'm sleeping an average of 3-4 hours a night. Which really isn't that bad, but it adds up, ya know?
I was thinking about investing in cocaine. I was just wondering how you go about purchasing it. How much would it cost? Is it really addictive?
I don't want to use it all the time. I just want to take some every now and then to give me an extra boost. What would you suggest? If cocaine is no good, what are some other ways to give me energy in these sleepless days?
As someone below me said, procrastination is your problem. I understand that things can get really hectic, especially at this time in your life (working & going to school) But that's no excuse for not getting it done. The majority of my friends are going to college and working part time. If they can do it, so can you. I'm not sure if you are in high school or college, but:
*College isn't cheap. Even with student loans, financial aid, and scholarships, going to college can still take A LOT of money from your pockets. Add car & insurance payments, gas, and all other things you need, and getting a job becomes quite neccessary. However, if the job you are currently at isn't good at working around your schedule, it is time to search for a new job. If you can, ask your boss for a few days off just to get your head on straight. Tell him you need just a small break to get everything sorted out and to have some time to rest. Hopefully he will understand.
*If you are only in high school, and working isn't really neccessary, then maybe it is time to take some time just for school work. That's completely understandable, if needed. High school also shouldn't be taking that much time from your schedule, regardless of your classes.
So, you need to work on a neat little schedule to get everything done, and still have some time to sleep at night. First of all, know what you have to do before the week starts. Get your work schedule as soon as possible so you can do your home/class work around it. In your spare time, get your school work done. That's the most important thing here. Any time you have a small break at school, do homework. At your lunch break at work when you are usually just sitting around and eating for 15 minutes, study. If you get that strange 20 minute break somewhere in your day, don't watch tv. Take a cat nap. You really need to get your priorities straight. Getting a good night's sleep should definitely be at the top of your list.
1. Sleeping
2. Schoolwork
3. Working
4. Anything else
Watching TV, hanging out with friends, and relaxing is great, but this point in your life doesn't allow for that. That's just how school is sometimes. If you happen to be out all night with friends, call it in early and SLEEP. If you want energy, that's the best thing you can do. Taking cocaine is the worst.
Not only will cocaine only help your energy problem temporarily, it will end up making it worse in the end. Accompanying that short burst of energy will come a "crash". You will feel ten times worse than you felt before, no doubt.
You may not want to use it all the time, but you WILL end up using it all the time. It IS highly addictive. You COULD be tricked by a shady drug dealer. And it IS extremely expensive. If you are having to work to go to school, I can almost guarentee you can't afford cocaine.
COCAINE WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE.
Point blank.

Does that seem good to you? If so, that's your choice. However I can guarentee the results will be the opposite of what you are hoping for.
Like I said, if you want to boost your energy, get your priorites straight, and get some sleep whenever you can.
