Q: I have wanted to move for awhile now, same with my family. My mom got a new job closer to where we'd like to move so now we are getting more serious about it. I hate my school, I don't have many friends that I actually like besides like 2, I don't like the people at my school, a lot of my friends keep changing or doing bad stuff of moving, I don't like my sports team or my coach, and I'm just sick of it. None of my family likes there jobs either. I should be enjoying my high school years, not dreading it. Please give me tips on how to get my family motivated and how to start with getting the house on the market and sold! We have a lot of construction type things that need to be done, and only my dad can do them but hes not really motivated to. I WANT TO MOVE NOW! please help =[ and dont say stick it out try to make new friends. does not happen that easily. thanks!
I can really relate to how you feel.

Unfortunately with the housing market being down he way it is right now, it may not be that easy for your parents to move right away even if you dad got motivated to fixed things up.

I'm not going to tell you to stick it out because the strange thing is, is that I went through the same thing in high school.

It's tough, and it really isn't that easy.

Definitely try to talk to your parents about what's going on, especially if your mom has a job closer to where you want to live. Maybe try to help your mom and dad in anyway you can.

And until you guys can move, just do your best to do things that you love despite all the crap around you.

High school years aren't always the best, not for everyone.

My favorite so far is college.

Do your best to find research on places you'd like to move and definitely discuss things with your family if you all really are that eager to get away.

And again, if you can't move, do your best to hang until you can.

Don't worry about other people right now, focus on your self and your family.

Ignore those rude coaches and everything.

As stupid as it sounds, things will fall into place. Not that you want to hear, because I know I sure as heck didn't, but it will.

Do your best to enjoy everything while you can until you can get out of where your at, just incase you can't.

Hope this helps.

thank you so much. i think in asking this question i was somehow hoping for some magical answer to make things all better, which of course couldn't happen. but this is the closest i will get to feeling any better, so i really appreciate it! I'm atleast glad to know someone can truly relate =]

Hey! =) I really love my life and the things and people in it. I love fashion, make-up, going out, dancing, teaching dance, and being with my friends and family. I feel very blessed for the things I have. It took me a while to get to this point though and I know that growing up, and even people my age, you need advice about certain things every now and then. I've always had people give me advice about things and I've been able to use their advice through my own experience and mistakes and come up with some of my own things. And now I'm the one always helping my friends out. I always have new ideas that I love to share. And well, I can't promise I'll always be able to help or give you the answer you're looking for but, I'll definitely do my best. =)

Also, whether you ask me a question in my inbox or I answer one alone I normally ALWAYS add in my experiences because for me, I like to know when people can relate and aren't just guessing, it's easier when someone has actually been through it. And I'm not going to do any favors by lying, so I am ALWAYS going to be honest. But keep in mind just becasue of my experience and my honesty does not mean I am always right and I understand that. Feedback is appreciated to know what I can work on with certain answers, not demanded.
