Q: okay..so Cody (my boyfriend) had this ex girlfriend named Sara, and they dated for a long time..and she broke up with him on the day that joe died (a senior that went to a close highschool and had something wrong with his brian and died..he's a friend of all these people i'm talking about) and i asked my friend chris why they broke up because nobody would tell me the whole story..and he said that she said that around the time that joe died..cody said that his mom had a heart attack..and sara claims that he made it up because most of the attention was on joe or something..and supposedly she found out it was a lie, and broke up with him..and if it's true that it was a lie..i don't want to be with that (obviously)..but i remember one time he did tell me his mom had a heart attack around joe's death..buuttt..he either could be telling the truth, or he could be telling me this in case somebody tells me the story
and his ex is mormon..so she does not lie..but how exactly would she know..because his mom lives in georgia? (i live in iowa)
so..what should i do? because if i confront him personally..he could just lie to me if he's a liar..so i don't know what to believe.

this is a tough situation, and really there is no way to tell if he is really telling the truth, so you have to trust him. Ask him about it, and if he says that she did then believe him and move on. Even if he was lying about that, that doesnt mean the he is necessarily lying about everything else, maybe he was just jealous at the time. If you really like or love him, then you will work through it. But if you cant trust him, then its not fair for you to lead him on like you trust him, and its not fair to you either.

I just your average teen age girl, except i've gone through a lot of hardships that no one should go through, much less a teenager. I have a lot of experience with giving advice and love to do it. I am spirited and willful. I would love to help anyone i can no matter what the situation. I hate when people judge others, and make it my goal to not judge others. Everyone has their unique characteristics that should be uplifted and not put to shame.
