okay so i have been sick for a long time, like 3 weeks or so and i have been to the doctor like 3 times. so the first time i went he gave me this migrane medicine, and it made my migranes even worse, it was horrible, and he gave me this other medicine cuase he thought i had a sinus infection, and i didn't. then second time he gave me this new kind of migrane medicine, and it didn't help at all either and i just kept feeling even worse and the migranes kept on coming along with feeling natious and being dizzy. so i decided to go back to the doctor and this time he gave me new medicine that is anti-depressant medicine, i am not using it for those purposes, but if you take a low dose of it, it is supposed to help prevent migranes. and along with that, he is not sure what is wrong with me, so he is making me go get on MRI, and since i am clostraphobic, they have to put me out. i have never gotten and MRI before and i am REALLY scared. i am getting it on saturday and im not getting the really easy brain scan one, im getting like a full body 2 hour one that is super loud i have heard. so, if anyone has ever gotten an MRI before please explain to me how it works and what happens and stuff? and also how fast do you get your results because i am also scared about those... thanks! I've had an MRI and im claustrophobic too. Its not that bad really, you just cant move, and they have you look at a mirror. i stayed awake for mine and i thought it was actually quite relaxing.
as for results, it doesnt take that long seen as how they are looking at the screen for abnormalities, but it could be 30 minutes to an hour, or longer or short. it just depends.
hope i helped =)
