Ok...so my boyfriend and me have talked about a promise ring. We've been together for a year and a half and we know that we truly love each other and want to spend our lives together. We both decided that we would wait a few more months before taking this step! Do you think this is too soon? Or can you really put a time on these kinds of things! (link)
Promise rings are a sign of distrust, or the fact you don't believe it can last forever.

You shouldn't need a ring if you TRULY love each other. To get the ring is only a sign of weakness and lost faith in a strong relationship.

I don't agreee at with you at all. A promise ring is a sign and gesture of love. It's a gift jsut like a necklace could be a gift. A wedding ring isn't a sign of distrust so how can a promise ring be that? It's like a ring before an engagement ring promising that you'll be together forever.
