I just recently learned there is a number on the inside of every real ring, made of a precious metal. That number represents how long the metal was in the refinery, being heated, and that determines how much its worth. The number inside of a cheap silver ring i have is .985. How can I figure out how long that is? How long is that compared to other rings? How valuable is this ring to more expensive ones, and how long do expensive ones stay in a refinery? A chart on the internet would be nice, or if you just know, please do tell me. Thanks! (link)
