when i cook hashbrown patties in cooking oil, my mom always says not to dump the oil down the sink, to wipe it out of the pan with a paper towel and throw it in the garbage. why cant i dump it down the sink?
The oil clogs the drain because it sticks to the walls of the pipes and stays there, its kind of hard to get it cleaned :)
