well i have family in the military and boot camp is ROUGH. in the coast gaurd for boot camp you have to get pepper sprayed. another thing is you have to get shots but they are done by air guns not with a needle. you have to wear a certain wardrobe at al time. its not all fun and games. you do have to move alot in any military service but you get use to it. (so ive heard) you can keep in contact with him but its like controlled by the poeple working there, meaning everything might not be secured. Basically other people can read your mail. in the end of the boot camp thing like maybe a week or so they normally have family night that you can be invited to.

while talking to a friend of the family who is in the coast gaurd he said it was an awesome job, every day you come out knowing you helped someone feels great. basically what they do is go out and help people who have become lost at sea or are at any trouble out in the ocean or any water bodies. i would personally knwo but he said if anyone went into the military they should go to the coast gaurds. =)
