yaa this is gonna seem like the weirdest question on earth..but here goes.

i recently got engaged, and umm well..i dont know which hand my engagement ring shud go on. my fiance sez left hand, and so do his friends. my friends and my parents say right hand. and we tried googling it online, and we couldnt find a straight clear answer. its not really that important...but im curious to know which hand?

Engagement and wedding rings both go on the third finger of the left hand, usually the wedding ring first, and then the engagement ring, but obviously you'll just wear your engagement ring by itself until you get your wedding ring. You don't have to wear both after the cerimony, but whichever one/ones you are wearing go on the left hand. If your husband gives you other rings in the future, for birthdays or other special occasions, those would go on the right hand.
