I produce quite a bit of saliva. It'll pool up in the front of my mouth and when sometimes I'm talking or not really paying attention, I'll salivate all over the place (on accident of course). I've never been diagnosed with anything that would make me overproduce saliva. I've had orthodontic treatment with braces and a palatal widening device but that was well over two years ago. I now have a permanent retainer that is a small wire behind six teeth. I also have a removable Hawley retainer that I only wear a few nights a week. What could be making me produce so much saliva? I know it's my salivatory glands, I was asking what makes them produce so much saliva.
