Okay, so today we had this big talent show and Im sort of interested in this girl named Rachel and has been liking her since the beggining of the year and all and we were great friends. Now she met this guy named Philip and well just left me basically and doesn't want to talk to me and all that so I got her several presents for our secret santa and she rejected all of them because I gave them to her in front of her friends so she was mad about that. And to tell you the truth I was pretty angry at her because I thought she was still my friend and won't be embarassed if I give her a present. So then this other cute girl named Emily didn't have a secrete santa so I gave her the mini green teddy bear I got for Rachel, a card, and her favorite earings and she took them and hugged me and said thanks. So as for the talent show Emily was the clossing act and sang with her best bud, and let me tell you their was no cd playing only her and a gituar and her friend singing like Kelly Clarkson or Aly and AJ combined all in one. I mean never once have I heard that kind of voice! It was amazing so I just had to go on and on to my best buds about this and they still thought I liked Rachel so they started rumors about me and Emily that I liked her since Rachel didn't have the same feelings that I had for her and I just don't want emily to know well.. at least not now. So I don't want her to think I have a crush on her but how to stop this mean rumors befores she hears them. and gossip and rumours travel fast! PLEASE HELP!!!
Wait until after break and come back and see how you are with emily and rachel.
If you really like Emily (which it sounds like you do), you should ask her out.
What's the worst she can say? NO?
You still have the rest of middle/high school (depends on if your in hs yet) and college. And not to mention the rest of your life. One girl, one little rumor about a girl (who nobody really pays much attention to anyways...) is nothing compared to all of the other chances you'll have the rest of the year and the rest of your life.
So just go with the flow and find out your true feelings about Emily before you start squashing rumors.
Also if you do decide to squash them... don't sound too desperate, and only mention it when people mention it to or around you.
