Hey Advicenators.

Life has gotten really hard for me over the past month or so. I met a wonderful guy, and I hung out with him a few times and we're crazy about each other, unfortunetly my parents won't let me see him anymore. They forbid it, and it's awful. I can talk to him on the phone. He's like the one person I can easily tell anything & it's just sad because I feel so close to him, yet; I'm not close to him in the slightest.

Also, I really wanted to go back to my hometown, I live like 30 hours away from where I used to live, and I wanted so much to go back & visit, this summer - it would've been exactly a year since I moved away. I built my hopes up ever since January 2006 thinking I'd be going home for a few days to visit my friends, and then I asked if I could & my mom said, I'm too young to travel alone. When I've traveled on planes by myself A LOT, even alone.

Everything's just gotten so confusing and hard & I'm like always crying, it's so weird. I'm usually a really happy person, and I'm cheerful & such, but I have all these worries carried around, and I just want them to go away.

I've been soo much more then depressed lately. I don't know how to put this into a question. But, if anyone had any advice for my situation, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much. :[ (link)
You should go out and see this guy that you like. Believe me, every teenager does things with their friends when their parents tell them not to. Just say you're going to the movies with so-and-so (and you should actually have so-and-so meet you there just in case your mom wants to make sure), have the guy hide inside, and then just meet up with him. Don't worry about disobeying your parents. They think they know everything and that they're protecting us, but if you know deep down that they aren't being reasonable, then don't listen.

About going to your hometown, there really isn't anything you can do. Maybe you can ask for a round-trip ticket to and from your hometown for your birthday or Christmas. Start bringing up your old friends to your parents to show them that you miss your friends. Or ask your friends to visit you! =)

Don't be upset. There's nothing really drastic going on, and these problems can easily be handled. Stay positive.
