ok i am going to be a freshman and im not even going to try and hide it. i am very freaked out. my older sister says its no biggie but seriously i am a very sesitive person and i cant really handle getting teased or picked on without turning red or becoming insecure about whatever whoever happened to tease me about. and i am going to get lost (we dont get our scheds until the first day).
so does anyone have any advice about what to do on the first day or what NOT to do on the first day? advice with bullies, teachers, or red facedness will be greatly appreciated and rated. (link)
Freshman year is probably the second best year of high school (first is senior year). I was scared like you, but trust me, in one week you'll realise that it's just like middle school (but without all the stupid rules..and high school is funner).

I'm not gunna lie to you, there are b*tches in high school. Typically, the mean kids are the ones who are "gangster wanna-be's", if you know what I mean. Just avoid big crowds of kids who look like they get into trouble, because they are VERY mean. Other than that, everyone is usually nice (except for the occassional stuck-up cheerleader). Yes, there are clicks. There really are groups of band nerds, asian nerds, jocks, etc. You don't have to pick one, though.

Getting lost is totally normal. Teachers should understand, and for the first week or two, showing up late is okay. After that, you are expected to know your schedule and where your classes are. Don't worry, you will get used to it.

Kids won't pick on you unless you are really out there. For example, if you go to school dressed in an Easter bunny outfit, you will definitely be picked on. Also, if you sneeze weird, have an accent, or have an exotic haircut, you'll be noticed. Basically do what everyone else does unless you really want to stand out.

Teachers are generally nice. If you need help with homework or something, they're willing to tutor you. In movies, teachers are usually monotone and giving lectures to sleeping kids, but in reality, most teachers teach in interesting ways and have fun activities planned.

Don't stress. PLEASE. It is so much easier and funner than you think.
