Is wearing a blue jean jacket with jeans too much denim like if i have like a colorful shirt under it? like if the jacket and jeans are close to the same color?

No if they match then wear them. there can never be too much denim. unless you have like denim t-shirt and shoes. then thats too much. lol but jacket and jeans are fine.
