hi katie i've been there and done that many times. If ur not happy wit the kid don't stay with him b/c ur never going 2 b happy tell him how u feel now b4 he gets 2 attached and then youll really hurt his feelings. Let him now you that you dont think its a good idea you 2 date anymore but u 2 could remain friends. trust me i was in the same situation wit 1 of my x b/f's and we r good friends still. hope i help
