well personaly i think just having a lot of friends is better than being populare because some people dont like you just because u r populare and u would prolly lose some friends.but if u really wanna be populare just hang out with the populare ppl more like find out what sports they are in and hang out with them more and sho everyone that you are not a fake by being you and not some other populare person imitation.GOOD LUCK
